Chavi Saxena, Poetry 2021 Longlist

Wait If You Can

Wait if you can,
To listen to the sound of the seas,
Each wave brings forth unrest veiled in smiles and peace!
An unexpected occurance that shakes our soul,
Makes us realize that diamond is but an insolent coal!
But none can challenge anyone's role,
Coz in a dark, dingy empire, you can't deploy a mole!
The din of the roaring storms creates a conundrum,
We often pause, reflect, then move on with our humdrum!
