Vijaya Bhargavi, Poetry 2020 Longlist

Cherished Memories

Whenever I look at the sky,
I always remember my childhood play.
The clouds, which gave wings to the imagination
And, led us to play a fun game to find the shapes.
Sometimes a mighty elephant,
And, could be a naughty rat at few times,
At times a Unicorn, with a beautiful horn,
Sometimes a giant snake circling around
Still, clouds are passing through the sky
As the magic passes from past to present,
And I Smile and say bye-bye to my old friends
As I used to do...
