Poetry 2017 Longlist, Dimple Nahata

*Impressions*

Dimple Nahata

At times when we see
And Keep seeing on
Towards This naked earth
Know not, what one thing teaches,
bears the burden of countless things,
Know not , what more it gives ,
Tells the great untold ,
Abides, burns,
Injures, perishes,
Yet wanders with alive existence
After seeing, I tried to listen,
But never heard a single sigh,
Never heard a heartless cry,

Felt the presence of many Flowers,
That my heart wants to fill in
This might not be felt tomorrow,
I wished to touch, hold, feel,
But, suddenly, I realized,
What can I feel in boundaries
Whatever I want to feel,
Is far beyond restrictions,
Oh! What words would I write.
