Poetry 2017 Longlist Himadri Sharma

THE CHARMS OF SPRING

The sunlight falls on the Earth,
Each ray so full of mirth,
The red velvet dotting the hills,
Universe in all its opulence fervently reveals.
The dusk is about to strike,
The stars about to go live,
Each morsel begins to melt,
The heart is robbed,
The view mimics a beautiful hamlet!!
No season is so desperately awaited,
For it’s the youthful spring,
 Leaving all realms elated.
When time stands still,
You can fly if you will.
The cosmos flooded with thrill,
The breeze acts as a sweet pill.
God never forgets to leave a cue,
Since the second you came to life,
He has loved you!
