Poetry 2014 Longlitst, Saurabh Mishra

Desires

All the Mountains are burning
Smokes dark and churning
Desolation breaks ethics aside
evincing frivolous banefully
As we wage the war
beneath dead souls
Camouflaging like we care
to invigorate and fill the holes.
Rendered to be frantic
Compelled to the penury
of dying enthusiasts
of Soul and mind’s
Supremacy revolved for greed
Revolted vehemence and
be a heretic and lose the fright
Vexed dead souls of our kinfolk allied.
Desires make us blind
Desires lead solemnly wrong
Desires, slay our souls

Nature sings wrecked songs.
