To Nature

Priya Sahasranaman

Furious ocean,
stretched its hand to slap the sky.
The merry knells waited.

Senility of winter,
Life completes its circle –
only a wait for rebirth.

Tears of the sky,
soak into the parched earth.
The scent of heaven.

A guest from the clouds.
To him they raise a toast
with their umbrellas.

Adulthood of autumn,
Petals covering the ground
The trees so naked.

Burden on the boughs,
The fall of the fruit is some relief
Till they make another.

Senility of winter
White shroud over the dead ground
Time would bring back youth!

The search of alchemy;
Never ends in the land of
overflowing gold.
